In 1987, the church we know as Yehyang Church adopted its name. This was a pivotal moment, marking a new chapter in its journey. The church’s history stretches back further. It was originally known as Sungin Church. In 1977, Sungin Church started its life in Gwangju city, Dong-gu district. It was a modest beginning at 334-11 Gyebong Building 3. From humble beginnings, Sungin Church grew and evolved. Over the years, it moved locations, expanded its reach, and deepened its spiritual roots. Fast forward to 1987, and a significant transformation occurred. The church’s name changed, signifying a renewed sense of purpose. It became known as Yehyang Church. Yehyang Church continued its journey. In 1987, it found a new home in Seoul’s Buk-gu district. It was a 166-pyeong space on Moonhang-dong. Even with this growth, Yehyang Church didn’t stand still. It continued to evolve, undertaking several renovations and expansions. In 2007, a major milestone was reached. Yehyang Church celebrated its 30th anniversary, reflecting on three decades of service. The church further upgraded its facilities in 2009, adding to its capacity. Yehyang Church isn’t just a building; it’s a living testament to faith and community.
