Established in 1987, Aju Middle School has witnessed generations of students pass through its halls. This public middle school, nestled in Jamsil 7-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s a living testament to the community’s commitment to education. Aju Middle School first opened its doors to students on March 3, 1987. Imagine the excitement of those first students. They were embarking on a new chapter, just as the school itself was beginning its journey. The school officially became Aju Middle School on April 24, 1987. Over the years, Aju Middle School has celebrated many milestones. Its first graduation ceremony took place on February 14, 1990. More recently, in 2023, the school held its 34th graduation ceremony with 218 graduates and its 37th entrance ceremony welcoming 162 new students. As of May 1, 2022, Aju Middle School had a student population of 526 and a faculty of 63. These numbers tell a story of growth and the enduring need for quality education within the community. Aju Middle School has seen significant changes throughout its history. In 1997, it established the Gangdong School Sports Center. In more recent years, it welcomed its 14th principal. Aju Middle School continues to be a vital part of the Seoul educational landscape. It shapes young minds and prepares them for the future.
