“Imagine transforming an entire university campus into an art museum.” That was the vision. Today, we are standing at Sungshin Women’s University Unjeong Green Campus. It is a testament to that dream.

Sungshin Women’s University has two campuses. There is the main campus in Donam-dong and the Unjeong Green Campus. This second campus in Mia-dong opened in 2011. It marked a new era. It allowed Sungshin to offer cutting-edge educational facilities. The campus promotes an eco-friendly environment.

The Unjeong Green Campus covers a large area. Its buildings occupy 76,100 square meters. The land itself spans 25,769 square meters. This makes it a significant space for learning and art.

But Sungshin Women’s University’s history stretches back further. It was founded in 1936 by Lee Sook-jong. She established Sungshin Women’s School. This institution has grown. Today, it is a comprehensive university.

Here at the Unjeong Green Campus, several colleges are housed. These include Natural Sciences. Also included are Knowledge Service and Consulting. Nursing and Beauty Lifestyle Industry are here too. Finally, there is Convergence Culture and Arts.

Sungshin Women’s University is committed to art. In 2016, the university created a sculpture park. Nine Korean and foreign artists were commissioned. They created sculptures for the campus. These works were initially displayed at the Unjeong Green Campus. They were later moved to Mount Opae.

The university plans to expand its art initiatives. An annual international sculpture exhibition will be held. The exhibits will be added to the sculpture park. Classrooms have been transformed into permanent exhibition spaces. This ensures students are always surrounded by art.

Several performances take place at Sungshin Women’s University Unjeong Green Campus. Music concerts are regular events here.

Sungshin Women’s University Unjeong Green Campus is more than just a school. It is a hub of culture. It is a place where art and education merge. The university continues to evolve.
