“Splashing rhythms,” a child giggled, pointing at the Ttukseom Hangang Park Music Fountain. The Ttukseom Hangang Park Music Fountain is more than just a spectacle of water and light. It’s a 30-meter wide, 15-meter tall burst of color and sound, performing to lively music. This vibrant fountain, located near exit 2 of Jayang Station, dances daily. It performs throughout the week, with more frequent shows on weekends. During the week, catch the 40-minute shows at 12:00, 14:00, 19:00, and 20:00. Weekends offer even more chances to witness the magic, with shows at 12:00, 14:00, 16:00, 18:00, 19:00, 20:00, and 21:00. Ttukseom Hangang Park itself is a haven along the Han River. It’s easily accessible from Jayang Station (Line 7) and a short walk from Konkuk University Station. The park offers a myriad of activities, from cycling along the river to exploring the unique Seoul Saenggaengmaru, a cylindrical cultural complex. Imagine renting a duck boat from the Hangang Arirang House, Lotte World Tower rising in the distance. Or perhaps a relaxing stroll through the rose garden, with its 9,450 roses of 40 different species, is more your style. After a day of exploration, settle down by the Cheongdamdaegyo Bridge for a stunning view of the Han River. And if you’re lucky, you might even catch the Han River Light Performance Drone Light Show, a thousand drones painting the night sky. Ttukseom Hangang Park is a dynamic space, transforming with the seasons. From the Seoul International Garden Show to the Ttukseom Four Seasons Outdoor Swimming Pool, there’s always something new to discover. In the summer, the pool becomes a water park, while in the winter, it transforms into a snowy wonderland for sledding and ice fishing. This vibrant park encapsulates the spirit of Seoul, a city where tradition and modernity flow together like the waters of the Han River.
