“Top class products from Outline”. That’s what Reverend Dr. Deuk-hwan Kang said about the sound system at Daerim Church. This church in Seoul celebrated the Korean Methodist Church’s 50th anniversary with a significant upgrade.
Daerim Church chose a new Outline sound reinforcement system. Hebsiba Multimedia Co. Ltd. installed it in the main worship room. The previous system used point-source speakers. The new line array setup ensures better sound pressure and clarity.
Imagine the challenge. The room is oval shaped. It is 36 meters long 29 meters wide and 11 meters high. The Outline system meets these challenges head-on.
The main system includes two hangs of twelve Outline Mantas 28 elements. These line array units are small but powerful. They have a radial angle of 120 degrees. Their maximum output is 139 dB SPL. A pair of Outline DBS 18-2 subwoofers are flown behind each array.
Mr. SungHwan Oh is the CEO of Hebsiba Multimedia. He explained further additions to the sound system. Outline’s Vegas 24 enclosures were installed. These serve as front fill speakers. They also act as under-balcony delays. This optimizes sound coverage for the entire congregation even far from the altar. The Vegas 24 speakers have a wide coverage pattern. This ensures maximum coverage from a small enclosure.
Visual impact was a key consideration for Daerim Church. They wanted crystal-clear sound. They also wanted a low-profile system. This is why they chose Outline enclosures. Hebsiba has used them in many other worship spaces.
Even the choir benefits from Outline’s technology. The new Vegas 4 speakers are small. However just four provide coverage for all the choristers. Floor and stage monitoring is handled by Vegas 12 CXs and Vegas 15 CXs. These are positioned based on the events held.
The powerhouse at Daerim Church includes multiple Outline amplifiers. There are eight T-Five amplifiers. There are also two M5000-4 amplifiers two M2800-4 amplifiers and one X4 amplifier. The Hebsiba team also used Outline’s OpenArray 3D simulation software. This allowed them to preview and modify variables in advance.
Direct SPL was especially useful. It previews sound pressure distribution without wall or ceiling reflections. This helps analyze sound clarity.
Reverend Dr. Kang praised Hebsiba Multimedia. He thanked them for suggesting Outline products and ensuring the best sound. He emphasized the importance of clear voice projection. The new speakers deliver his message well to each member of the congregation. Everyone is satisfied with the performance.
Daerim Church even hosted a saxophone concert. The speakers’ magnificent sound impressed everyone. The pastor hopes Outline speakers become well-known in Korean churches. He wants them used in places of worship worldwide.
