Kachiul Elementary School was established on January 7, 2000. The school was approved then opened on March 1, 2001. Kim Min-ho was the first principal. A kindergarten was also established on March 9, 2001.
The school has been recognized for its excellence. Kachiul Elementary School was named an excellent school in a school evaluation on December 5, 2008. It was also designated as a model school. This was for the branding education program on December 16, 2008. Kachiul Elementary School was recognized as one of the top 100 education courses in 2009. That happened on December 31, 2009. Again Kachiul Elementary School was recognized for its school education curriculum. That was on March 8, 2012. Kang Gwang-hui became the 6th principal on September 1, 2012.
In February 19, 2013 the 10th graduation ceremony was held. The graduating class had 110 students. As of 2013, the school had 19 classes including 3 special classes. There was also one kindergarten class. On March 1, 2014, the school had 18 classes. That included 2 special classes and one kindergarten class. In February 13, 2015 the 12th graduation ceremony took place. 71 students graduated that day. As of March 1, 2015 Kachiul Elementary School had 17 classes and a kindergarten.
