Opened in 1974 the Nagai Botanical Garden invites you to discover its beauty. This oasis is located in Nagai Park. It is in Higashisumiyoshi-ku Osaka.

The Nagai Botanical Garden spans approximately 24.2 hectares. It features around 1200 types of plants. These plants thrive in 11 specialized gardens. Admire roses in the rose garden. Explore hydrangeas in the hydrangea garden. Discover peonies in the peony garden. The Life Garden displays seasonal flowers. Aquatic plants decorate the large pond.

Nagai Botanical Garden charges an admission fee for adults. However middle school students and younger are free. The garden is open from 9:30 to 17:00 March to October. It closes earlier November to February at 16:30. It is closed on Mondays except for public holidays. It is also closed from December 28 to January 4.

You can reach Nagai Botanical Garden easily. Take the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line to Nagai Station. Walk east for about 800 meters from Exit 3. Alternatively take the JR Hanwa Line to Nagai Station. Walk east for about 1000 meters from the East Exit. Or take the Kintetsu Minami Osaka Line to Harinakano. Walk about 800 meters west.
