Established in 1941, the Chongqing Medical University Affiliated Chengdu Third People’s Hospital has a rich history. Originally known as Chengdu Third People’s Hospital, this institution has evolved significantly over the decades. It blossomed from its humble beginnings into a comprehensive medical center. In 2009, the hospital became affiliated with Chongqing Medical University, further enhancing its reputation and capabilities. It transitioned into the Chongqing Medical University Affiliated Chengdu Second Clinical Children’s Hospital. More recently, in 2022, it was renamed the Chongqing Medical University Affiliated Chengdu Third Clinical Teaching and Training Center. In December 2023, the hospital achieved a significant milestone by obtaining approval as Sichuan Province’s first Cardiovascular Disease Regional Medical Center and Respiratory Regional Medical Center.
