In 1962, a new chapter began in Toyonaka’s educational landscape. Toyonaka City Seventh Junior High School emerged, a testament to the city’s commitment to learning. The school officially split from Toyonaka City Seventh Middle School on April 1st, 1962, marking a fresh start. The very next month, the official decision to establish the school was finalized, setting the wheels in motion for a vibrant future. By March 20th, 1962, the school’s name, Toyonaka City Seventh Junior High School, was formally decided. Its designated attendance zone was also established. This included the entire attendance area of Toyonaka City Enoki Nishi Elementary School. Portions of the attendance areas of Toyonaka City Enoki Minami Elementary School, Toyonaka City Shimada Elementary School, and Toyonaka City Sennari Elementary School were also included. Toyonaka City Seventh Junior High School quickly garnered recognition for its dedication to holistic education. On April 16th, 1963, the Osaka Prefectural Board of Education designated it as a research school for health and physical education. This recognition was further solidified on June 1st, 1963 when the Japan Vocational Guidance Association also designated it as a research school. Toyonaka City Seventh Junior High School continued to expand its focus. It was designated as a research school for school safety education on October 19th, 1965. The school’s commitment to comprehensive student development led to its designation as a research school for career guidance by the Osaka Prefectural Board of Education on June 13th, 1967. Years later, on April 1st, 2001, Toyonaka City Seventh Junior High School took on another research role. This time, it focused on “physical fitness.” This ongoing commitment to research and development in education showcases the school’s dedication to fostering well-rounded individuals.
