Toyonaka City Higashi Toyonaka Elementary School was established in 1967. It was the 23rd elementary school to open in Toyonaka City. This happened during the development of the Senri New Town area.

Initially the school shared space with Toyonaka Municipal Kami-Noe Elementary School. But, it became independent in April 1967. In July 1967 the school established its official badge and flag. By January 1969 the school completed its athletic field. A gymnasium followed in March 1970. The school anthem debuted in April 1970. A swimming pool was added by March 1971.

By 1974 the school became so large that it was split. A new school Toyonaka City Higashi Toyonaka Elementary School was created. This alleviated the overcrowding. At that time Toyonaka City Higashi Toyonaka Elementary School had 1578 students. It also had 39 classes.

The school is located in a quiet residential area. The area has many parks and green spaces. This creates a calm learning environment.

The school has a close relationship with the local community. Local farmers teach children rice planting. Community volunteers assist in home economics classes. This support enriches the students’ learning experience.

The school’s educational goal is to nurture children. They aim to have rich minds. Also children should be able to think well. They should be able to live using their own abilities. The school wants to cultivate children who can carve out the future.

Toyonaka City Higashi Toyonaka Elementary School is more than bricks and mortar. It is a place of growth. It is a place of learning. Also it is a place where children develop into responsible citizens.
