Begun in 1980 as the College of Adult Education, the College of Continuing Education at Beijing University of Technology is our focus. It is one of Beijing’s first adult education colleges. Over 10,000 students currently attend.

In 1996 the State and Municipal Education Commission rated it as “Excellent College”. It passed the Municipal Education Commission’s “Undergraduate Evaluation” in 2001. The Municipal Education Commission named it “Advanced Collective of Enrollment Work” in 2003. The College of Continuing Education serves Beijing University of Technology. It adheres to guiding principles. These principles serve the capital’s economic construction. It constantly broadens adult education’s function.

For candidate convenience, the College opened four campuses. These are the East, West, North and South campuses. The East District is near the CBD Central area at No. 100 Pingleyuan, Chaoyang District. The West District is an independent campus. It has complete teaching facilities and knowledgeable teachers. It is located in the North Road of West Third Ring in Haidian District. It is close to Zizhuyuan Overpass and Huayuancun Overpass. The location offers very convenient traffic.

The College of Continuing Education uses Beijing University of Technology’s faculty and equipment. It has classrooms, labs, a library, a gymnasium and a swimming pool. Faculty members possess solid theoretical foundations. They also have teaching experience and practical abilities. Most have intermediate and senior titles. They have made achievements in teaching and research.

To meet reform needs, the College of Continuing Education opened 15 majors. This formed a school system. The system includes science, engineering, management and culture. It operates at junior college and undergraduate levels. There are diverse learning forms available here. These include academic education and international projects. Beijing Normal University also has a School of Continuing Education and Teacher Training. It was established in April 2004. It integrates the former School of Continuing Education and other schools. It forms innovative mechanisms for continuing education. The school develops continuing education with academic qualifications. It also offers non-academic training.

President Xi Jinping visited Beijing Normal University in 2014. He inspected the “National Training Plan” class of the School of Continuing Education and Teacher Training.
