It’s a complex system incorporating a series of bridges and tunnels, including the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Tunnel and the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge. This system originates near Bao’an International Airport on the Shenzhen side, further cementing the city’s status as a transportation hub. The longest bridge section stretches an incredible 22.5 kilometers, with approximately 15.5 kilometers of it gracefully arching over the sea. This engineering feat significantly impacts travel time, reducing the journey between Shenzhen and Zhongshan to under 30 minutes. Imagine, before the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, the Humen Bridge was the sole bridge connection across the Pearl River estuary.
