Clutching a smooth river stone, imagine yourself back in 2007 at Fushouling station. Two Line 1 trains halted here daily. One in the morning. One in the evening. These trains served the students and workers of the nearby metro technical school. This wasn’t a regular stop for the public. Fushouling, even then, held an air of mystery. Fast forward to today. Fushouling station, resurrected and renewed, stands open for all. It’s hard to reconcile the ghost station of yesteryear with the bustling hub it is now. The renovation, started in late 2021, breathed new life into this forgotten corner of Line 1. The official christening, Fushouling station, came in September 2023. But echoes of the past linger. Imagine those sealed entrances, hidden behind concrete and metal gates. Picture the trains silently gliding through the balloon loop, bypassing the dormant station.
