The 子\u795e社 stood about 400 meters south-southwest from here. That was until平成20年11月. That means November 2008. At this time, the community established the \u7530\u559c\u91ce\u4e95\u7a32\u8377\u795e\u793e. It was built on what was once part of the 子\u795e社 grounds.

The establishment of \u7530\u559c\u91ce\u4e95\u7a32\u8377\u795e\u793e also commemorates an important recognition. In March 2004, the Chiba Prefecture designated the Shiki-nen Grand Festival of Futatsumiya Shrine as an intangible folk cultural asset. This grand festival is also known as the “Seven Year Festival”.

The \u7530\u559c\u91ce\u4e95\u7a32\u8377\u795e\u793e serves as a resting place. It is used during the Shiki-nen Grand Festival. During the festival, a 神輿 or sacred palanquin is paraded. The shrine provides a space for this tradition. The festival itself is a vibrant display. Eight shrines participate from various cities. These include Chiba City, Narashino City and Yachiyo City.

The origins of the Shiki-nen Grand Festival trace back to the Muromachi period. Specifically, it dates back to 1445. It is said that Lord Magome, under the order of Chiba Taneyasu, initiated rituals. These were 安産祈願 for safe childbirth.

The \u7530\u559c\u91ce\u4e95\u7a32\u8377\u795e\u793e enshrines 宇迦之御魂神. This deity is associated with agriculture and prosperity.

Notice the wide open space at the shrine’s entrance. Also, admire the torii gate. The shrine’s grounds feature a white, stone 玉垣 or sacred fence. You can also spot guardian dogs.
