“Why do you call Me good?” This question resonates as we stand before Ikuno Christian Church. It is a question Jesus posed. The church’s motto, “Logos & Life,” reflects its focus. It focuses on the Word and living according to Christian principles.

Ikuno Christian Church welcomes everyone. Sunday services are held every week at 11:00 am. Wednesday services take place at 8:00 pm. These services provide opportunities for worship and fellowship.

The church is located at 4-19-11 Ikuno-nishi, Ikuno-ku, Osaka. You can reach it by taking the JR Loop Line to Teradacho Station. From there, walk east for about five minutes. This path leads through the Ikuno Hon-dori shopping street.

Ikuno Christian Church is a Protestant church. It is not affiliated with other religious groups. These include Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormonism, or the Unification Church. This ensures its unique identity and beliefs.

In 2006, a Korean missionary founded the church. Pastor Han Gyujeong had a vision. His vision was to share the gospel with young people in Japan. This vision led to the church’s establishment in Ikuno.

In 2009, the church moved to its current location. Besides Sunday services, it offers other programs. These include youth worship. There are also junior youth worship. A class is available for preschoolers.

Pastor Han Gyujeong served as the lead pastor until 2012. He then became an advisory pastor. In 2013, Takashi Shimizu became the lead pastor. He continues to serve the congregation today.

Ikuno Christian Church is a place of community. It is a place of faith. It strives to provide a welcoming space. All are welcome to learn and grow in their spiritual journey. The church embraces its role in Osaka. It seeks to spread its message of faith. Remember the question “Why do you call Me good?”. Consider its meaning as you leave.
