In 2008, plans for a public parking lot faced resident concerns. People worried about the design and function. The government responded by holding public consultations. They displayed designs and gathered feedback. This led to modifications. The goal was to blend the structure with the area. Architects incorporated features reminiscent of old Taipa houses. They also included Macau Peninsula characteristics. Even the window designs echoed 福隆新街. The facade uses grey brick with red concrete accents. Natural ventilation was a key design element. This reduced electricity consumption.
The \u6c39\u4ed4\u677e\u6a39\u5c3e\u793e\u5340\u4e2d\u5fc3 project saw temporary parking solutions. In 2009, a temporary parking lot opened. It offered 89 light vehicle spaces.
