“Nihonsakari is good sake.” Remember that jingle? It was the industry’s first television commercial. Today, we stand before Nihonsakari Sakaguradori Rengakan. It is a testament to Nihonsakari’s rich history. This is more than just a building. It is a journey through time.

Nihonsakari Co., Ltd. was established in 1889. It started as Nishinomiya Kigyo Company. The founders aimed to develop Nishinomiya and its industries. They committed to quality. They created high-quality sake with original flavor and aroma. Within ten years, they became one of the best in the Nadagogo area.

The Meiji period influenced the architecture. Modernization and Westernization were in trend. Nihonsakari Sakaguradori Rengakan reflects this era. The brick-built structure evokes the breweries of that time. It is a recommended spot for photography.

In 1913, Nihonsakari reached a milestone. “Nihonsakari” was selected for the Emperor Taisho’s enthronement ceremony. “Souhana” is still served at the Imperial Household today.

Inside Nihonsakari Sakaguradori Rengakan, you will discover a world of sake. A shop offers a wide selection of sake and liqueurs. You can also find sake utensils. Hanasakari is an authentic Japanese restaurant. Here, you can enjoy cuisine paired perfectly with sake.

For a hands-on experience, visit the glass studio. You can try glassblowing. Create your own original sake utensils and glasses.

Nihonsakari also sells “Nama Genshu”. This sake has not been heated or diluted after production. Sample some namagenshu. Taste the pure flavor.

In 2000, the company changed its name. Nishinomiya Shuzo Co., Ltd. became Nihonsakari Co., Ltd. That same year, they opened Sakagura-dori Rengakan. It is a facility dedicated to Japanese sake.

Nihonsakari continues to innovate. They released the first cosmetics made from rice bran. It was called “Komenuka Bijin” in 1987. They even released sake with the concept of health, “Kenjo”.

Nihonsakari strives to be “more delicious, more beautiful, and more fun”. They challenge themselves to create new products and services. From television commercials to health-conscious sake. Nihonsakari continues to evolve. Nihonsakari Sakaguradori Rengakan stands as a symbol of their dedication. It represents their journey through over 130 years of sake brewing.
