The pagoda itself is a masterpiece of Yuan Dynasty architecture. Its hexagonal form rises majestically. Five tiers of intricate brickwork reach towards the heavens. However the construction of the Tianfo reservoir in 1959 changed its surroundings. The reservoir’s construction led to the pagoda’s relocation. It now stands near the reservoir.
