This school is a partnership. Guangzhou No 2 Middle School partnered with Guangzhou Evergrande Real Estate and the Huangpu District Education Bureau. Guangzhou No 2 Middle School manages the school. The school sits on a large plot of land near the Changhe Road area. It’s a massive 82000 square meters. That’s about 123 acres. It’s designed for 38 primary school classes and 48 middle school classes.
There were some hurdles in the school’s early development. Delays in construction caused concern. A deal to provide housing for teachers to accommodate their move was almost impossible to finalize. The development company reassured everyone that the school would open on time. Guangzhou No 2 Middle School also confirmed the agreement. The school eventually opened in September 2018.
Today Guangzhou Huangpu Kaiyuan School thrives. It’s a beacon of educational excellence. The school has a strong focus on internationalization. There are plans for international classes.
