“Established in 1873 Higashiosaka City’s Minamihonmachi elementary school opened its doors. The Higashiosaka Municipal Yasuoka Elementary School we stand before today has a rich history. It wasn’t always here though. The school moved to its present location in 1878. Initially it was known as Honmachi Elementary School. Over the years it changed names several times. Each name reflects the evolving administrative divisions. The school’s location has always been in the heart of Higashiosaka. It serves the community’s children. Imagine the generations of children who have walked these very grounds. They’ve learned and played here. Think of the teachers who have imparted knowledge and shaped young minds.
