In 1872 the Japanese government enacted the Education System Order. By 1874 Kujukuri Elementary School officially opened its doors.

Over the years, Ichihara City Kujukuri Elementary School adapted to changing times. In 1886 it was renamed Kujukuri Jinjo Elementary School. This change came about due to the Elementary School Order. Then in 1941 it became Kujukuri National School. This followed the National School Order.

After World War II the school underwent more transformations. In 1947 it was renamed Kujukuri Village Kujukuri Elementary School. This was a result of the School Education Act. Further changes occurred as municipalities merged. In 1955 Kujukuri Village merged with Yatsuhata Town. The school became Ichihara Town Kujukuri Elementary School. Finally in 1963 Ichihara City was founded. The school adopted its current name Ichihara City Kujukuri Elementary School.

Ichihara City Kujukuri Elementary School sits on a plot of land measuring 19607 square meters. The school buildings have a total floor space of 6388 square meters. The school consists of several buildings. There are school buildings built in 1977 and 1981. There is also a gymnasium constructed in 1979. These buildings have undergone seismic reinforcement work.

As of April 1 2022 the school had 216 students. These students are distributed across ten classes. The school district covers an area of 4.934 square kilometers. It serves a population of 10374 residents.
