Ichihara Municipal Ichihara Junior High School has a long history. It began in 1947. It started as Ichihara Village Ichihara Junior High School. The school was established with the implementation of the School Education Law.
Initially Ichihara Municipal Ichihara Junior High School used Ichihara Village Ichihara Elementary School as a temporary building. A new school building was built in 1948. It was located at 1452 Azagunmoto. In 1956 Ichihara Village merged with Goi Town and Five Towns. The school’s name changed to Ichihara Town Ichihara Junior High School. In 1963 Ichihara City was founded. The school’s name then became Ichihara Municipal Ichihara Junior High School. In 1976 the school moved to its current location. The address is 1450 Aza Nounmaki.
The student population grew in 1983. This was due to the development of Kokubunjidai. Ichihara Municipal Kokubunjidai Junior High School was separated from Ichihara Municipal Ichihara Junior High School.
The school’s emblem features a design. It includes the character “中の”. There is something like a yatsude above it. Feathers surround it.
