Completed in 1974, the Kansai University’s Iwatsu Memorial Hall stands as a testament to the university’s growth and adaptation. The Kansai University Iwatsu Memorial Hall isn’t just a building. It’s a symbol of change. Constructed after the demolition of tiered classrooms and a kindergarten due to overcrowding and aging facilities, the Iwatsu Memorial Hall addressed the evolving needs of the university. This reinforced concrete structure, marked by its dark red magnetic tile exterior, showcases a layered design, with each level subtly shifting in form. The Iwatsu Memorial Hall at Kansai University was the second of the final buildings constructed at the Senriyama campus. It followed the village and Mori Construction Office’s involvement in the project.
