Imagine the scene in 1953. Neyagawa 2nd Junior High School was founded. It split from Neyagawa Junior High School. That school was renamed Neyagawa 1st Junior High School on the same day.
Initially, Neyagawa 2nd Junior High School was located within Neyagawa 1st Junior High School. It was a temporary measure. Soon after, in April 1953, the school moved. The new location was 88 Ikeda, Neyagawa. This address is the present location of the school.
Over the years, Neyagawa 2nd Junior High School has seen several changes. In 1961, Neyagawa 3rd Junior High School was separated from it. Later, in 1969, Neyagawa 5th Junior High School was also split off. In 1977, Neyagawa 8th Junior High School followed suit.
In August 1991, the school grounds were reduced. This was to accommodate the Neyagawa City General Center.
Neyagawa 2nd Junior High School has received recognition for its efforts. In 1963, it was commended by the All Japan Health and Physical Education Research Association. This was for its excellence in health and physical education.
The school has also been designated for research. In 1996, the Osaka Prefectural Board of Education recognized it. It was for research in educational curriculum.
