In 1994 the gymnasium, staff room and library were renovated. In 1998, Miza Elementary became a sister school. The partner school was Matsue City Nakajima Elementary School. In 2001, the home economics room and library were renovated again. An elevator was installed in 2005. In 2008, the school celebrated its 30th anniversary. In 2009, the 3rd and 4th floor school buildings were renovated.

The school aims to nurture children with rich minds.
