This stele marks a visit by Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress. It stands as a symbol of compassion and a pledge for safer working conditions. The 天皇皇后 両陛下 行幸啓 行幸啓記念樹 Stele tells a story of respect and remembrance. In April of 2017, Their Majesties traveled to the Mikoromo Spiritual Center. They paid their respects to the deceased workers of industrial accidents. The visit offered solace to the bereaved and highlighted the importance of worker safety. To commemorate this compassionate visit, a memorial tree was planted. The tree chosen was a flowering peach (Prunus persica). It blooms with beautiful white flowers in April. The blooming peach symbolizes the timing of the visit. It also embodies the hope for a brighter future for all workers. The planting ceremony itself was a powerful display of unity. Representatives from labor organizations and local government joined forces. Their participation underlined the shared commitment to worker safety.
