天理教豊信分教会 is associated with Tenrikyo. Tenrikyo is a Japanese new religion. It originated from the teachings of Nakayama Miki in the 19th century. Her followers call her Oyasama.

Tenrikyo is neither strictly monotheistic nor pantheistic. Followers believe that God revealed divine intent through Miki Nakayama. They aim to promote the Joyous Life. This is done through charity and mindfulness. These acts are called hinokishin. The main operations of Tenrikyo are at Tenrikyo Church Headquarters. It supports many locally managed churches.

The spiritual aim is to construct the Kanrodai. It is a divinely ordained pillar in an axis mundi. This place is called the Jiba. The Kagura ritual is performed around the Kanrodai. This brings salvation to all. Pilgrimages to the Jiba are returns to one’s origin.

Key teachings include joyous acceptance and ten principles involved in creation. These principles exist in two-in-one relationships. They are applied throughout the universe. The Joyous Life involves charity and abstaining from negative emotions. These emotions are seen as dust. Dust can be swept away through voluntary effort and prayer.

The most basic teaching is kashimono-karimono. This means a thing lent, a thing borrowed. The human body is lent and borrowed. Minds are under our control. Bodies are not completely under our control. The sacred name of God is Tenri-O-no-Mikoto. God created humankind for joy. The body is borrowed. The mind is one’s own.

Tenrikyo’s doctrine names four properties of Tenri-O-no-Mikoto. God is openly revealed. God is the creator. God is the sustainer and protector. God is the savior. Nakayama conveyed the concept of the divine in steps. First, as Kami then as Tsukihi and finally as Oya.

Tenrikyo has three scriptures. These are the Ofudesaki, Mikagura-uta, and Osashizu. The Ofudesaki is the most important. It is a collection of waka poems by Miki Nakayama. The Mikagura-uta is the text of the Service. The Osashizu is a record of oral revelations.

Tenrikyo is subdivided into groups with different functions. These include the Daikyokai, disaster relief corps, and educational institutions. 天理教豊信分教会 is a place where followers can connect with this faith.
