Legend says that Emperor Ojin had a detached palace here called \u5927\u9685 Palace. After his death villagers built a shrine. They enshrined the emperor. Later when the Yodo River flooded a divine spirit statue washed ashore. People believed it to be Kamo Wakazuchi. So they enshrined it together with Emperor Ojin.
The exact founding date of \u5927\u9685\u795e\u793e remains unclear. However its history is deeply entwined with the area’s past. It fell into disrepair between 1688 and 1703. In 1707 a priest from Daitoji Temple restored the shrine.
