Changes continued into the 1980s. Osaka Municipal Gamo Junior High School altered school districts. This was due to the opening of Osaka Municipal Morinomiya Junior High School. A new uniform was established in 1996.
The school is near several train stations. Noe Station on the Keihan Main Line is about 250 meters southeast. Gamo 4-chome Station on the Osaka Metro Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line is 700 meters northwest.
