In 1975, a seed was planted. Right here, the Osaka City Shin-Higashiyodogawa Junior High School began as a branch of Higashiyodogawa Junior High. Just a year later, in 1976, Osaka City Shin-Higashiyodogawa Junior High School blossomed into its own independent institution. The second-year students transitioned from Higashiyodogawa, becoming the first graduating class of this new school. Interestingly, a portion of the former Kushijima Junior High School district, which originally belonged to Osaka City Hanenari Elementary School, was incorporated into Shin-Higashiyodogawa’s territory. This bit of history adds another layer to the story of Osaka City Shin-Higashiyodogawa Junior High School. The school’s nickname, “Shin-Tsuyo,” echoes through the hallways. Even now, decades later, students from the designated elementary schools of Shin-Asahi, Shimo-Shin-Asahi, and Hanenari fill these classrooms. They carry on the legacy that began in those early years. The very ground we stand on holds the memories of countless students who walked these halls before you, their laughter and learning echoing in the air. Osaka City Shin-Higashiyodogawa Junior High School is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s a living testament to the power of education and community.
