Established on April 1 1979, Osaka Municipal Daito Elementary School has a rich history. The school’s creation anniversary is celebrated every year on October 27. This day marks the beginning of Daito Elementary.

Initially, the school held its entrance ceremony at Mikawa Elementary School. This took place on April 7. The school badge was decided on July 11. Construction of the first school building phase was completed on August 28.

The separation ceremony from Mikawa Elementary School was held. This happened before the first creation anniversary. On this day the school flag and song were revealed.

The second construction phase finished on December 25. This added eight classrooms and a playground. By January 30 the playground gained permanent fixtures.

The first mini sports day was held on the school grounds May 24. On August 5 construction of a ball protection fence was completed. The first autumn sports day took place on October 15.

In 1981 a courtyard was created between the lecture hall and the home economics room. This beautiful space included a pond and trees. A modeling sandpit was made west of the health room August 24. Phase three construction finished September 11 adding classrooms and a toilet.

The first graduation ceremony took place March 19 1982. Ball protection nets were installed near the school buildings September 10. In 1983 a classroom for students needing special support was added. Roofed hand washing areas were added to the playground in August 1983.

The “Forest of Hope” was created in the courtyard January 31 1984. A ceremony was held October 26 1984 to celebrate the school’s fifth anniversary.

In November 1985 parts of the home economics room and staff room were renovated. The pool was renovated in June 1986. A flower bed was added to the east side of the east school building July 20 1989.

A tenth-anniversary ceremony was held October 29 1989. In September 1998 a twentieth-anniversary sports day was held. A twentieth-anniversary ceremony took place October 31 1998.

A computer room was set up January 21 2000. The “Tombo Pond” was completed in February 2002. A thirtieth-anniversary ceremony was held November 22 2010.

Daito Elementary is located in a convenient area. The Osaka East Line is nearby.城北公園通 Station is about 450 meters west of the school. The school is located at 2-11-111, Mawaricho, Miyakojima Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture.
