大阪市立吉野小学校 has a long history. It started as Osaka City Third Nishinoda Elementary School in 1911. The school was created because the population was growing. More children needed education.

In 1941, things changed due to the National School Order. The school’s name changed to Osaka City Yoshino National School. This was part of a wider change in how schools were named.

World War II brought immense challenges. In 1944, students were evacuated to Hiroshima. This was to protect them from the war. In 1945, disaster struck. The Second Osaka Air Raid damaged the school.

After the war, changes continued. In 1947, the school became Osaka City Yoshino Elementary School. At the same time, Osaka City Shinniek Elementary School closed. Its students joined Yoshino Elementary.
