The government generously allocated land. Four thousand four hundred square meters in Meilin Huaguo Hill. Construction began on July 3 1999. The project took less than three years to complete. The cost thirty million yuan mostly came from donations. Local believers contributed the majority. It’s a stunning building. It seats fifteen hundred worshippers in the main hall. A testament to a thriving community. Five hundred more can be accommodated in the smaller hall.
