Established in the tapestry of Beijing’s educational landscape, the 国際教育中心（国際学院）, or Beijing International Chinese College (BICC), has been a vibrant hub for language and cultural exchange since 2005. Born from a vision approved by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and nurtured by the Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau, BICC stands as a testament to the power of connecting cultures. The Beijing International Chinese College isn’t just about learning Mandarin. It’s about experiencing China. Imagine stepping through its doors and finding yourself surrounded by a symphony of languages, with students from over 160 countries all united by a common goal. Over 77,000 students have walked these halls, each one leaving their own unique mark on BICC’s rich history. The Beijing International Chinese College is more than just a language school. It’s a bridge between nations, fostering understanding and friendship between China and the world. It’s a launchpad for diplomats, journalists, and government officials, over 5,000 of whom have participated in training programs here. Picture classrooms buzzing with activity, led by a faculty of over 100 expert teachers. 80% of these educators hold Master’s degrees from prestigious universities, bringing a wealth of experience from both China and abroad. Some have even traveled to far-flung corners of the globe, sharing their passion for the Chinese language in countries like Zimbabwe and Costa Rica. Beyond the main campus nestled in the charming “Beijing’s most beautiful village” of Cuigezhuang, BICC extends its reach with two additional campuses. One is located within the Gengdan Academy in Shunyi district, the other on Baijiazhuang Road in Sanlitun. These “three interconnected” campuses ensure that students from all walks of life have access to BICC’s exceptional resources. The Beijing International Chinese College stands as a proud member of the International Society for Chinese Language Teaching.
