“Three treasures?” a student whispered, clutching their worn copy of the Yotsukaido Kita Junior High School newsletter. Here at Yotsukaido Kita Junior High School, those “treasures”—Resilience, Song, and Cleanliness—aren’t buried pirate gold. They are the bedrock of this school’s spirit. Yotsukaido Kita Junior High School opened its doors on April 1, 1987, born from the division of Yotsukaido Junior High and Yotsukaido Nishi Junior High. Just days later, on April 9th, the official opening ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter in local education. The school song and emblem, unveiled on April 17th, became symbols of pride and unity. The school quickly established its identity. In October 1987, they introduced their standard uniform. The following year saw the completion of the martial arts hall. In 1988, the school embarked on a research project focused on learning guidance, spurred by the Yotsukaido City Board of Education. Parent-teacher involvement blossomed with the PTA formation in 1989. The school’s dedication to community and growth is evident. They planted trees, embraced computer technology with a new computer room, and even spearheaded a school lunch program in 1996. Yotsukaido Kita Junior High School isn’t just a place of learning. It’s a vibrant hub woven into the fabric of Yotsukaido City. Its influence extends beyond the classroom, touching the lives of students, families, and the wider community.
