The first graduation ceremony took place in 1909. In 1919 the school defined its area. It included Aokisaki Monoi Nagaoka and Uchi Kuroda. The first sports day was held in 1924. In 1927 the school moved. It moved to a new building before its current location.
During World War II the name changed again. In 1941 it was renamed Chiyoda South National School. After the war in 1947 it became Chiyoda Town South Elementary School. This was when the 6-3 system was implemented. Also a student welfare fund started.
In 1955 the school became Yotsukaido Town South Elementary School. This happened due to a town merger. A lecture hall was completed in 1957. The school grounds were expanded. The school song was created.
Full school lunches began in 1962. In 1964 the school was designated for academic research. A new two-story reinforced concrete building was built in 1967. This is when the school moved to its present location.
The school celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1973. Many events were held including the creation of athletic equipment. Also a rock garden an observation pond and a breeding shed.
In 1981 the school became Yotsukaido City South Elementary School. This happened because of the implementation of the city system.
