“Dedicated to nurturing the future.” That is the motto, it seems, of Suita City Yamada Daisan Elementary School.

Suita City Yamada Daisan Elementary School, located in Osaka, is a public elementary school. You can find it nestled in Yamada Nishi. The school is adjacent to Suita City Yamada Daisan Kindergarten. Group housing spreads to the west and south of the school.

Suita City Yamada Daisan Elementary School opened its doors in 1974. This happened because of an increase in the number of children in the area. It separated from Suita City Yamada Daiichi Elementary School and Suita City Yamada Daini Elementary School.

Initially, the school was located in Yamada Nishi 1-chome. It also occupied Yamada Minami. The school used land owned by the Osaka Prefectural Housing Supply Corporation. They also borrowed ground from the Kyowa Bank. Prefabricated temporary school buildings were erected. In 1975, the current school building was completed.

The school’s district originally included Yamada Nishi 1-chome and Yamada Minami. However, population growth led to overcrowding. In 1986, Suita City Yamada Daigo Elementary School was separated. With this change, the Yamada Minami district became part of Yamada Daigo Elementary School’s district.

Due to a decline in the number of children, Yamada Daigo Elementary School will be reintegrated into Yamada Daisan Elementary School in April 2025. The school districts will also change.

The school badge was announced in November 1974. The school song was established in November 1977.

In October 1981, the school building was expanded. This added to the 3rd and 4th floor sections of Yamada Daisan Kindergarten. In July 1983, classroom shortages became critical. Temporary prefabricated school buildings were built on the playground. The school flag was completed in September 1983.

As of April 2025, with the integration of Yamada Daigo Elementary School, the school district will include Yamada Minami. It will also include Yamada City Market 9-11. Graduates typically advance to Suita City Nishi Yamada Junior High School. However, special arrangements are in place for students currently in the Yamada Daigo Elementary School district. They can choose between Nishi Yamada Junior High School and Suita City Yamada Junior High School.

You can reach Suita City Yamada Daisan Elementary School by bus. Take the Hankyu Bus to the Shinogawa bus stop or the Shimoyamada bus stop. Alternatively, the Bampaku-kinen-koen Station on the Osaka Monorail is about 2.5 km south. Yamada Station on the Hankyu Senri Line is approximately 2.5 km southeast. Minami-Senri Station on the Hankyu Senri Line is around 2.5 km east. The Higashikaido Main Line, also known as the JR Kyoto Line, is also nearby. The Senrioka Station is about 2.3 km west. The Kishibe Station is approximately 2.7 km northwest.

The school’s website provides information about school events and activities. It also offers resources for parents and students. It also offers a look at school lunches. Suita City Yamada Daisan Elementary School is more than just a school. It is a vital part of the community.
