From its humble beginnings, Suita Dairoku Elementary School has played a vital role in the community. Suita Dairoku Elementary, established in 1973, was originally created to address overcrowding at Suita Daīchi Elementary School. The school’s founding involved separating a portion of the Daīchi school district to form the new Suita Dairoku Elementary. The school’s location in southern Suita places it within a unique geographical context. The school zone is bordered by Route 479, the Tokaido Main Line, the freight line, and the Kanzaki River. This area creates a distinct boundary for Suita Dairoku Elementary. The school’s opening marked a significant moment for the community. Starting with only first through third graders, Suita Dairoku Elementary quickly grew. The second and third-grade students were transferred from Suita Daīchi Elementary, creating a combined student body. Just a few weeks later, on April 22, 1973, the school expanded further with the addition of a nursery school class. The official opening ceremony took place on November 15, 1973, solidifying Suita Dairoku Elementary’s place in the community. Another noteworthy event occurred on July 3, 1974, when the Osaka Prefectural Government designated Suita Dairoku Elementary as a “Green Promotion School.” This designation reflects the school’s commitment to environmental education and sustainability. Suita Dairoku Elementary serves students from several designated neighborhoods within Suita City. These include Ai 1 and 2 Chome, Nakano Shima, Seiwaen, Minami-Seiwaen, and Kawagishi. Graduates of Suita Dairoku Elementary typically continue their education at Suita City Third Junior High School. This established pathway ensures a smooth transition for students as they progress through their academic journey.
