The Shuiwei bridge is not just a structure. It embodies quality and spirit for pedestrians. It stands on Fuqiang Road in Shenzhen’s Futian District. This bridge is more than just a way to get from one side of the road to the other.
Completed in 2020, the Shuiwei Pedestrian Bridge spans 70.5 meters. It links Huanggang Park, schools, and residential areas. Heavy traffic made the zebra crossing dangerous. The bridge offers a safe and efficient alternative.
Think of the canopy. Unlike typical bridges with columns on both sides, the Shuiwei bridge uses a single-column umbrella structure. This design offers unobstructed views. Imagine walking across it. You can appreciate Shenzhen’s scenery all year round. The designers recognized people’s tendency to look around while crossing bridges. The single column design enhances this experience.

The Shuiwei bridge prioritizes accessibility. It accommodates the elderly, disabled people, children, and those with luggage or bicycles. Elevators on both sides of the bridge provide vertical access. This ensures that everyone can use the bridge comfortably.
