At the same time, the Chiba Prefectural Science Education Center opened. In 1968 the two centers combined. Finally in 1984 the center was renamed. It became the Chiba Prefectural General Education Center.

The Chiba Prefectural General Education Center is located in Chiba City. Specifically it is in Mihama Ward Wakaba. A special support education section is in Inage Ward. You can reach the main center by train. Several stations are nearby. These include Makuhari Station and Kaihimmakuhari Station.
