Just five years later, the school began offering education for severely multiply disabled children, including those with cerebral disabilities. A higher department for these students followed in 1982. A major change came in 2007. The school adopted its current name, Chiba Prefecture Yotsukaido Special Support School, reflecting its broader mission.
