Established in 1979, Chiba Prefectural Nitona Special Support School stands before us. This isn’t just any school. It’s a beacon of support and specialized education. Chiba Prefectural Nitona Special Support School caters to students with medical needs, offering elementary, middle, and high school levels. Originally called Chiba Prefectural Nitona Yoiku Gakko (Chiba Prefectural Nitona Nursing School), it began its journey within the Chiba East Hospital. In 1974, visiting teachers were sent to Chiba East Hospital. This marked the first step towards the school’s creation. Five years later, Chiba Prefectural Nitona Special Support School officially opened within the hospital grounds. The official opening ceremony took place on September 6, 1979. This date is now celebrated as the school’s founding anniversary. Construction continued in phases. The first phase was completed on December 8, 1980. The second and third phases followed on October 27, 1981. The school has grown and evolved since its early days. In 2007, the school adopted its current name, Chiba Prefectural Nitona Special Support School. The school is easily accessible by the Chiba Chuo Bus from Chiba Station, Honta Station South Exit, Kemigawa Station North Exit, and the Chiba Rehabilitation Center.
