In 2009, it was designated a Chiba City Environmental Education Model School. Then again in 2016, it was designated as a Chiba City Environmental Learning Model School.

The school continued to improve its facilities. Air conditioners were installed in regular classrooms in 2020. Special classrooms got air conditioning in 2021.
