\u5343\u8449\u5e02\u7acb\u3055\u3064\u304d\u304c\u4e18\u897f\u5c0f\u5b66\u6821 opened its doors in April 1972. By 1982, it had 951 students in 24 classes. In 2011, the school had 241 students in 12 classes.

In 2001, \u5343\u8449\u5e02\u7acb\u3055\u3064\u304d\u304c\u4e18\u897f\u5c0f\u5b66\u6821 started a rice-growing program. It was part of a larger initiative promoting student farms.

In 2010, something special happened here. The AUN twin unit held a cherry tree planting event. This was sponsored by the Mary Chocolate Company. As part of the event, Someiyoshino cherry trees were planted at \u5343\u8449\u5e02\u7acb\u3055\u3064\u304d\u304c\u4e18\u897f\u5c0f\u5b66\u6821.

Also in 2011, Chiba University students participated in the WiCAN project. WiCAN stands for Chiba Art Network Project. The students redesigned the school’s lunchroom. They incorporated artistic elements into the space.
