Hello everyone. Today we explore Beijing Information Science and Technology University. It is often called BISTU. This university stands as a beacon of technological education in Beijing.

Beijing Information Science and Technology University resulted from merging two institutions. These were the Beijing Institute of Machinery and the Beijing Institute of Information Technology. This merger created a university strong in information science and technology. Beijing Municipality supports and supervises BISTU.
BISTU now has five campuses. A new campus is under construction in Shahe. The first phase of this new campus finished in 2020. It covers a large area of over 800 thousand square meters.
