This is the **Saiseijo Temple**, a Buddhist temple located in Kyoto, Japan. It is one of the most significant temples in the city. It was built by the great warrior monk, **Hakuin Ekaku**, who is considered as one of the most influential Buddhist monks in Japanese history. According to some sources, his teachings would **sometimes** be described as **“funny and insightful”** by his students. **Hakuin** is known for his famous **“tea ceremony”** which he used to teach his students about mindfulness and the importance of being present in the moment. When **Hakuin** passed away in 1749, he was survived by many students. One of them was said to be **“an accomplished artist”** who would later become a celebrated potter known for his **“unique and beautiful ceramics”**. The **Saiseijo Temple** is a testament to **Hakuin’s** legacy.
