\u5149\u7167\u5c71\u6b63\u7950\u5bfa is located in the Tennoji Ward of Osaka. You can find it at 7-chome, Uehonmachi. The nearest station is Osaka-Uehommachi on the Kintetsu Line. From there, walk south about 300 meters.
Legend says Prince Shotoku sensed a divine presence here long ago. He built a shrine to honor the deities of sun and earth. He also established a monastery. In it, he lectured on Buddhist scriptures. This marked the beginning of \u5149\u7167\u5c71\u6b63\u7950\u5bfa.
Originally, it was named Shinshoji Temple. Until the early Meiji period, it served as both a Shinto shrine and a Buddhist temple. This practice was common. It reflected the blending of beliefs.
