Step into the serene world of Shitennoji Temple. This isn’t just any temple. It’s said to be Japan’s oldest officially administered Buddhist temple. Imagine its founding in 593 AD by Prince Shotoku a pivotal figure in introducing Buddhism to Japan. He commissioned its construction a monumental task in a time when Buddhism was not widespread.
