“Cleanliness” and “deliciousness” might seem an odd pairing for a museum. However at the Duskin Museum, these themes unite to tell a fascinating story. This is no ordinary museum. It is created by Duskin, a company synonymous with cleaning product rentals and food services.
The Duskin Museum actually comprises two distinct sections. First, the Cleaning Pavilion explores the history of cleaning. Second, the Mister Donut Museum celebrates Japan’s most popular doughnut brand.
In the Cleaning Pavilion, exhibits display research on dust. Sections visualize airborne house dust. These exhibits offer real experiences, enhancing our understanding of how to create a clean living environment. Who knew dust could be so captivating?
The Mister Donut Museum delves into the history and delicious secrets of Mister Donut. A chronological display showcases products and original goods. For a hands-on experience, try the Mister Donut Kitchen. Advance reservations are required to experience doughnut-making. Also try the popular Doughnut Ball Topping Experience. No reservation is needed for this fun activity.
Duskin Museum allows re-entry. Feel free to explore at your own pace. Note that free WiFi is not available. Outside food and drinks are not allowed, but you can find refreshment in the Mister Donut shop.
Duskin Museum is easily accessible. It is about a 12-minute walk from Esaka Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line. Admission is free, making it an affordable and enriching experience for all. The Duskin Museum is closed on Mondays. If Monday is a holiday, it closes the following weekday and during the New Year holidays. The Duskin Museum is open from 10 AM to 4 PM.
