Pavel Samoilov regularly performed in St. Petersburg. He appeared in the Literary and Artistic Society Theater. He performed in the A.I. Pavlova Hall. Samoilov also acted at the Komediya Theater. He performed at the People’s House and other venues. In the 1920s, he also starred in films.

During the summers, Samoilov visited the Bourman’s in Pribytkovo. This was in the Gatchina district. The Bourman family lived on an estate.

For over ten years, Samoilov spent summers with his family. They stayed near the village of Alexandrovka. This was on the shore of Lake Dolgoe. Samoilov created etudes in the Alexandrovka area. These were accepted for exhibition by the St. Petersburg artists.
